I offer three forms of care (see modalities) in two session formats: mixed sessions where we utilize multiple modalities and focused sessions in which we use one modality.

Mixed modality sessions last approximately 90 minutes. Single modality sessions are 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the session type and your preference.

I do not provide erotic bodywork or offer undraped sessions.

  • Acupuncture is a traditional East Asian medical practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body.

Stimulating these points restores harmony and promotes the body's natural healing processes. The needles used in acupuncture are very fine, typically causing minimal discomfort when inserted. This therapeutic technique is based on balancing the flow of energy, known as qi (“chee”), which circulates through pathways in the body.

For more information, see the About Acupuncture page.

  • Massage therapy is a hands-on healing technique that involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and address various health issues.

During a massage session, pressure is applied to muscles and connective tissues, aiming to alleviate tension, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being. Beyond its physical benefits, massage therapy is recognized for its potential to reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality, and enhance mood.

Therapeutic touch fosters a sense of connection between giver and receiver, creating a safe and healing environment.

  • This gentle bodywork offering centers somatic practices for learning to associate into and feel your body.

During these sessions, we will explore the places in your body where you feel old holdings or new questions, and experience together what arises when these places are met with sustained hand contact or gentle manipulation. We will practice noticing what happens in your body, as well as noticing the feeling of the room and the felt sense between us.

Working with what comes up in its own timing, we might explore gentle movement or visualizations to deepen your connection to your body. Often conversation is a part of these sessions, but it does not need to happen for the work to be meaningful.

The intended outcome of this style of work is subtle, progressive shifts in relationship to chronic pain and a greater understanding of emotional anchor points in your body.

Modalities

How we work together is determined by dialogue between us.

Before we start each session, we’ll check in verbally about what needs care. I welcome all concerns: physical, emotional, existential. My work is to support the wellbeing of all of you.

We’ll shape our time together around what you share and what I notice in our intake. Every session is emergent. We’ll meet each other as we are showing up in the moment.

Working in this way allows us to practice navigating consent together and helps me be responsive to change over time. I want our time together to feel effective, safe, and comfortable. Your feedback is always welcome in session.

All sessions include intake, assessment, treatment, and time for you to get on and off the table. For massage and co-regulation sessions, you can be undressed to your level of comfort. I can work over clothes or directly on skin. For acupuncture-only sessions, please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

The support I have to offer is most impactful when it is given over time and consistently.

Treatment recommendations vary depending on what we’re treating and what outcomes we’re seeking. At the end of our first session, I will make a recommendation about a treatment plan.

In general, for non-specific care, monthly or bimonthly (in either definition) work is my preferred cadence. Acute concerns may require more frequent care for an initial period. At minimum, I invite anyone receiving work from me to consider committing to at least one session every season.
